What Happens At Your First Visit
Your free consultation in our office is the very beginning of your orthodontic journey, and we’re just as excited as you! We will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, mouth, and gums. We then take complimentary x-rays and images of your teeth that lets us see what’s going on. This information helps us design your customized treatment plan.
At Post Falls Orthodontics, we know each of our patients have their own treatment goals and orthodontic needs. Our practice utilizes all the latest technology to ensure you leave your first appointment with the answers to all your questions as well as a customized treatment plan.
There is never, ever a charge for this initial visit, x-ray, or consult with our doctor. In fact, if you choose to receive orthodontic treatment elsewhere, we will provide you with a copy of the x-ray for free!
Same-Day Braces
Are you ready to get your beautiful, new smile? We will help you save yourself an extra visit and get your braces or Invisalign® started the same day as your orthodontic consultation.

In addition to our flat fee pricing, our orthodontic practice gladly accepts most health insurance plans. We are a PPO provider for most plans, and we accept Medicaid, TRICARE®, Delta Dental® and many more insurance plans. If you have orthodontic or dental insurance, we will work together with you to ensure you maximize your insurance benefits. We take the guesswork out of insurance and will process claims on your behalf.

American Association of Orthodontists recommend you should schedule your child’s first appointment by age 7. Orthodontic treatment and a child’s growth can complement each other. By timing orthodontic treatment to predictable stages of dental development, the orthodontist may be able to take advantage of your child’s growth and development. Some problems that can be treated quite well in a growing child may require corrective surgery or permanent teeth to be extracted if treated after growth has occurred.

We can only determine treatment costs after your initial consultation is completed, as each patient’s case is unique. If you think you or your child needs braces, you may be surprised to learn you do not need a referral from your dentist. You can make an appointment with Post Falls Orthodontics any time to discuss your orthodontic needs and set up a treatment plan.
It is also important to note that if your dentist does make a referral, you do not need to choose that orthodontist. You’re free to see anyone you feel can do the best job for you.
This doesn’t mean your dentist is not an important part of your care. He or she definitely is. It is important to continue to see your dentist throughout your orthodontic care.
With or without a referral, you should bring your child for an orthodontic consultation by age 7, as the American Association of Orthodontists recommends. Examining young children before all the permanent teeth have erupted may enable an orthodontist to correct problems that would be more difficult and costly to address later.
